Terms of Service

Last updated 3 November 2026

These terms govern your use of Unsubscribe From Reality, a browser-based focus tool that analyses ambient sound and generates masking audio.

01

Using the service

By opening the site or starting a session you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You may use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or attempt to extract the source of the audio engine, or use the service in a way that interferes with other people’s use of it.

02

What this tool is, and is not

The service creates a personalised soundscape that masks background noise. It is a focus and comfort tool, not a medical device, and it makes no promise about sleep, tinnitus, hearing or any other health outcome.

Masking sound reduces your awareness of your surroundings. Do not rely on it where you need to hear alarms, announcements, traffic or instructions.

03

Free and Pro

The core scan and masking session is free. Reality Pro unlocks saved environments and live auto-adaptation for £0.99 per month, or £4.99 once as a lifetime purchase.

Monthly plans renew automatically each month until cancelled; the lifetime plan is a single payment for one person. All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any applicable tax.

04

Payments, cancellation and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details.

You can cancel a monthly plan at any time; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Because Pro features are digital content supplied immediately, starting a paid plan means you consent to immediate access and lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel. This does not affect your rights if the service is faulty or not as described.

05

Availability and changes

The audio engine runs in your browser, so results depend on your device, browser and microphone. We aim to keep the service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw features.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies from the date shown above.

06

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, the service is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity arising from your use of the service.

07

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
